If you prefer a Saturday date, please let us know.

Or, you may print and hand the on-line form, or email your answers to one of the committee members listed below.

November 14, 2024 – Registration Begins
December 15, 2024 – Registration Closed

January 10, 2025 – Final Commitment, provide the following information to a committee member:
(1) Name of Group
(2) Name of Players and Instruments
(3) Short history/biography of group
(4) Number of chairs needed (we’ll request chairs without arms)

Bring your own stands.

1-2 weeks before the performance, please provide us with your play list so we can put it in the program. Each 1 hour venue may have 3, 2, or 1 ensemble(s) performing.  The length of your performance should not exceed 15, 25, or 50 minutes respectively.  This will allow time for groups to switch out, time for all ensembles to play and for the program to end on time. Very brief introductions help this happen. Please time your pieces and comments when planning.  Remember, we are guests in these residences and need to respect their schedules.  Thanks for doing this.

Please sign up as soon as possible, so we can finalize the venues.  We need to hear from each group planning to perform or thinking about performing.  You only need one person of your ensemble to be a member of the Dexter Community Band.

If you are not currently playing in an ensemble, please consider doing so.  Ensemble playing can develop and challenge your musicianship in ways that playing in our large band does not.  Music does not need to be elaborate, "classical" or staid.  Our EOE audiences appreciate the familiar, so patriotic songs, hymns, show tunes, novelty tunes, etc. are favorites.  Dig out your old methods books or go to JW Pepper or SheetMusicPlus to see what is available for not much money.  Try your hand at arranging or see one of the committee members for ideas.

For the EOE committee,

Norma
